Being a documentary it's different, but the story rings true


The "Big Short" is the classic on the period.

My wife had her own mortgage banking company and refused to do subprime loans and only charged 1% instead of the 3% to as much as 10% others did.

When the 125% were first offered I knew it was over. You could have shorted banks and home builders and made a bundle.

This article shows how utterly out of touch the regulators and the industry were.
